Ahead of the momentous COP26 conference on Climate Action to take place in November 2021, President Uhuru Kenyatta and a senior Government delegation joined Alok Sharma, the President of COP26, to visit Azuri in a marketplace event to showcase leading climate.

Azuri Technologies, with offices in both Kenya and the UK, has invested over KES 6Bn to build a customer base of more than 140,000 off-grid households with cutting edge solar lighting and TV products and has also created over 2,500 jobs in the Kenyan market.

The President congratulated Azuri on its innovation to help Kenya achieve its Universal Electrification targets based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Affordable and Clean Energy. He also warmly endorsed the Azuri Brighter Lives Initiative, which focuses on expanding women’s employment in Kenya, particularly in rural areas.
