This includes a new Product Manager role focused on bringing to market the next generation of high quality, energy efficient appliances for use with our Solar Home Systems including Radios, TVs, Irrigation Pumps, Torches, Fans, etc.

What you’ll be doing
As a front-end developer in our Services Development team, you will build and develop web-based user experiences used by both our customers and our team in Africa. The web-based user interfaces are used to deliver our award-winning Pay-As-You-Go Solar Power Services to customers and staff in our distribution network. You will build user interfaces that are used by a wide variety of people from our end customers through to our distribution staff – all based in Africa.
The team you’ll be joining is building and scaling our cloud-based service platform that supports customers and distribution. The platform delivers mobile payment systems, business and distributor information systems, mobile apps and data and analytics platforms.
As a front-end developer, you will be working in an agile Scrum team with software engineers, designers, test engineers and our distribution, logistics, operations and finance teams. You will get insight into the business model and its deployment to deliver a world-class PAYG service that supports end-users, distribution partners and Azuri across multiple countries in Africa.
By working within the Services Development team and the wider Azuri team, you get to define and implement the platform that delivers new and creative services, make technology choices, scale and secure our service platform and evolve our development processes and environment.

Who you are
You are passionate about building usable and delightful web user interfaces for mobile and desktop that make a material impact on people’s lives. You are a highly skilled front-end developer who thrives in a team solving complex problems. You have the drive to lead design and technology decisions to deliver the best possible experiences that really help your users.
– Experience of building single page web applications using frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue
– Deep understanding of front-end application architecture
– Hands-on experience developing and integrating web applications with RESTful or GraphQL services
– Knowledge of unit testing and test automation tools and techniques for browser-based user interfaces
– Experience in continuous integration and deployment systems
– A good degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant subject
– A real passion for Usability and UX
– Creativity and an eye for design
– An avid follower of technologies used in front-end development
– Knowledge of hybrid app development and delivery
– Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator & Sketch
– Occasional travel to Sub-Saharan Africa may be required.
