Tom Brown

Chairman

Tom brings to Azuri the experience of 25 years on the boards of 7 London Stock Exchange listed companies, mainly as Chairman or CEO. He has also chaired 11 private and venture capital backed companies. He is also a member of the Economics Committee of the EEF.

Simon Bransfield-Garth

CEO

Simon has 25 years global experience building rapid growth, technology-based businesses in sectors including Semiconductor, Automotive and Mobile Phones. His career includes 7 years at Symbian, the phone OS maker, where he was a member of the Leadership Team and VP Global Marketing. Simon was founder of Myriad Solutions Ltd and was previously a Fellow at Cambridge University. He holds a BA and Ph.D in Engineering from St John’s College, Cambridge UK.

Professor Sir Richard Friend, FRS, FREng

Non Executive Director

Richard Friend has been the Cavendish Professor of Physics in the University of Cambridge, since 1980.  He co-founded Cambridge Display Technology Ltd in 1992 to develop light-emitting diode displays and Plastic Logic Ltd in 2000, to develop polymer transistor circuits that are now being developed as flexible active-matrix backplanes for e-paper displays.  His current research programme within the University is directed towards the physics of organic thin-film solar cells.

Robert Trezona

Non Executive Director

Robert is Business Development Director at IP Group plc. Previously roles include at the Carbon Trust, where we led the introduction of the £30m “Challenges” programme and at McKinsey & Company, where he focussed on strategic and operational issues in the energy, utilities and basic materials sectors. Robert is a materials scientist by training, and has a First Class degree and a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
